We are a group of concerned Iowans, organizations, and businesses working together to build stronger, safer, and more prosperous communities.

We know what works when it comes to reducing recidivism – education and employment. That’s why we are supportive of legislation to bring Education, Workforce, and Discharge Credits to people on probation.

By providing an incentive for people on probation to pursue work and education, and by modestly shortening the amount of time they serve, we can reduce future crime while giving people on probation the chance to rebuild their lives and provide for their families.

We believe that through these smart on crime, evidence-based reforms, we can increase public safety, strengthen our workforce, reduce wasteful spending, and encourage success in the community.

We have a tremendous opportunity to improve our system and bring safety, stability, and opportunity to tens of thousands of Iowans, but we won’t achieve our mission without your engagement.
